1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. The next time you open the site, the browser sends them back, so the site can tell that it is the same browser: for example, that you have already selected a language or already answered the cookie question.
Browsers also provide similar local storage technologies, localStorage and sessionStorage. They work on the same principle, the data also stays on your device, and for brevity this document refers to all of it as "cookies". Your cookie choice is stored specifically in the browser local storage, see section 4 for details.
Cookies do not run programs, do not read other files on your device and do not contain viruses. They may contain an identifier that lets the site tell one browser from another.
2. Which cookies we use and why
Below is a list of what may be written to your device while you use the Elaris website. The actual set depends on the choice you made in the consent banner.

Analytics is enabled only after consent. If you chose "Essential only" or made no choice at all, analytics scripts are not loaded onto the page and no analytics cookies are written. The exact names and lifetimes of analytics cookies are set by the statistics provider, which is why the table lists them as a group.
3. Essential and optional cookies
Essential
Without them the website does not work or works incorrectly: the application form is not submitted, your cookie answer is not remembered, fraud protection does not trigger. These cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service operational and cannot be switched off through the banner. You can block them in your browser settings, but then part of the website will become unavailable.
Optional
Analytics cookies help us understand which sections are useful and where visitors get lost. They are not required for the website to work, so they are set only with your consent, which you give in the banner and can withdraw at any time.
Functional cookies, such as the language choice, are written as a result of your own action on the website and help keep convenient settings. They are not used for advertising or profiling.
The Elaris website does not use advertising or targeting cookies.
4. Managing your consent on this website
On your first visit a banner appears at the bottom of the page with two buttons: "Accept" and "Essential only". Your choice is stored in the browser local storage under the key elaris_cookie_consent with the value all (all categories accepted) or necessary (essential only), together with the date when the choice was made.
The choice is valid for 12 months from that date. After that the banner appears again so you can confirm or change your decision. Closing the banner with the Escape key is equivalent to choosing "Essential only".
To withdraw or change your consent earlier, clear the site data in your browser: the elaris_cookie_consent record will be removed and the banner will appear again. Section 5 describes how to clear data in different browsers.
If your browser runs in private mode or blocks websites from storing data, the consent record cannot be written. In that case the website keeps working, optional cookies are not set, and the banner may appear on every visit.
5. Disabling cookies in your browser
Your browser lets you block cookies entirely, allow them only for selected websites, or delete data that is already stored. The general path in current versions is:
- Google Chrome: Settings, "Privacy and security", then "Third-party cookies" or "Cookies and other site data".
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings, "Privacy and Security", the "Cookies and Site Data" block.
- Safari on macOS: Settings, the "Privacy" tab, manage website data.
- Safari on iOS: the Settings app, the Safari section, options to block cookies and clear history and website data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings, "Cookies and site permissions".
- Android: the settings of the browser you use, the privacy or site data section.
Menu names change from version to version, so please check your browser help for exact instructions. Note that blocking cookies completely also disables essential records, after which the application form and the consent banner may not work correctly.
6. Third party services
Part of the page content is loaded from servers of third party providers. During such a request the provider technically receives your IP address, device and browser type, and the address of the page the request came from.
- Fonts. The Unbounded and Manrope typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts.
- Web analytics. Collection of aggregated visit statistics. The script is loaded only after consent to optional cookies.
- Payment infrastructure and fraud prevention. Processing of payment transactions and checks for suspicious activity on payment pages. These mechanisms are required for the security of settlements.
- Hosting and attack protection. Technical records needed to deliver pages and filter automated traffic.
Third party providers process data under their own rules, and we recommend reviewing their privacy policies. The full list of providers is set out in our privacy policy.
7. Changes to this document
We may amend this document if the set of cookies we use, the list of providers or legal requirements change. The current version is always available at this address, and the version date is shown at the top of the page.
If changes materially affect the set of optional cookies, we will request your consent again through the banner. Continued use of the website after a new version is published means acceptance of essential cookies to the extent they are required for the service to work.
